    Replace f (x) with y:

    y = 5x-6

    Swith the variables:

    x = 5y - 6

    Now solve for y:

    add 6 to each side:

    x + 6 = 5y

    Divide both sides by 5:

    y = (x+6) / 5

    Now replace y with the inverse function f^-1 (x):

    f^-1 (x) = (x+6) / 5
