    1/6 - 6,12,18,24 (we counted by 6's, 2 times to get 12)

    1/4 - 4,8,12,16 (we counted by 4's, 3 times to get 12)

12 is the LCD (Lowest Common Denominator) of the 2 fractions

*Now that we have the denominator, we need to find the numerator

1/12 - 1x2 (why 2? well because we had to count by 6's, 2 times to get 12)

1/4 - 1x3 (why 3? well because we had to count my 4's, 3 times to get 12)

2/12 and 3/12 is the answer

    I hope you get it!
