Suppose the population of a town is 134,000 in 2004. The population increases at a rate of 3 percent

every year. What will the population of the town be in 2020? Round your answer to the nearest whole

number, and show all work.

    start by getting 3% of 134000 and adding that on which gives us 138020 for the year 2005. get 3% of 138020 and add that on for the population in 2006 etc. in 2020 the population would be 215,031
