Does 1,2,4,8 follow the rule "multiply the previous number by 2 then add 1 to the result"

    No, because 1*2=2 2*2=4 4*2=8

    No it doesn't because 1*2 plus 1 doesn't give u 2. None of the numbers follow that rule at all.

    The rule is just multiply the previous number by 2
