    5² + 12² = c²

    25 + 144 = c²

    169 = c²

    √ (c²) = √169

    c = + / - 13

    Distance can't be negative so your answer is 13 cm

    Using Pythagoras Theorem:-

    h^2 = 5^2 + 12^2

    h^2 = 25 + 144 = 169

    h = sqrt 169

    = 13 answer
