Beatrice has 15 glasses and 20 mugs. She would like to set them out in identical groups, with none left over. In preparation for a dinner party. What is the greatest number of groups Beatrice can set out?

    Find the greatest common factor

    factor each

    15=3*5

    20=2*2*5

    common factor is 5

    15/5=3

    20/5=4

    greatest number of groups is 5 groups

    each group will have 3 glasses and 4 mugs
