    Step-by-step explanation:

    42 = 32 - 6f - 4f

    42 = 32 - 10f

    10 = - 10f

    -1 = f

    f = - 1

    Answer: - 1

    Step-by-step explanation:

    42=32-6f-4f

    First you switch places, to turn - 6f-4f into + 6f+4f, to make it more simpler.

    -32+6f+4f = - 42

    Then we group them, if it has the same letter they go together, and if they don't have anything they are grouped together.

    -32+6f+4f = - 42

    -32+10f = - 42

    We then need - 32 to switch places so it could get grouped with the - 42, but when it is switched, the minus (-) turns into plus (+).

    -32+10f = - 42

    +10f = - 42 + 32

    Then we group them by working out the addition.

    Now to work this out first you need to find the biggest number, which is 42 (for about the minus and plus for now) and then we:

    42-32 = 10

    We decide if the number has a minus or a plus by looking at the farthest number from 0 looking at this part - 42+32, in this - 42 is the farthest from 0, since it has a minus then the 10 must have a minus:

    -42+32 = - 10

    So now we have:

    10f = - 10

    Now to find f we must remove 10 from the 10f, we can do this by placing the 10 on the other side, but the 10 remains positive (+), but when it switches from times (*) it switches to division (:) since between the 10f there is a times:

    10f = - 10

    f = - 10:10

    f = - 1
