What is the unit rate for 40 meters in 5 seconds

    Because the speed is Distance/Time, so we can model the question as 40 (Meters in 5 seconds) / 5 (Number of seconds it took to travel 40 meters)

    40/5=8

    So The unit rate is 8 metres per second, or 480 metres per minute
