    (1) 5x - 9y = - 7

    (2) - x + 9y = - 13

    (1) + (2):

    (1a) 4x = - 20

    x = 5

    ∴ 5 (5) - 9y = - 7

    ∴ 9y = 32

    ∴ y = (32/9)

    x = 5

    y = (32/9)
