A coin is flipped 50 times and lands on heads 32 times. What is the experimental probability the coin will land on heads on the next flip? (I think the answer is B. 50% because it doesn't matter how many times it was flipped before it's still a 50/50 chance.)

A. 32%

B. 50%

C. 56%

D. 64%

    For a coin tossed once, the sample space is 2 i. e {H, T}.

    If a coin is flipped once, the probability that it will land a head{H} is 1/2.

    Since the possible outcome is 1 i. e the head and the total outcome is 2 which is the sample space.

    Probability = Possible outcome of event/total outcome = 1/2 i. e 50%

    Note that the number of times the coins has been initially flipped doesn't affect the probability of the next flip which will always be 1/2 for each flip since the coin can either land with a head or a tail.

    D because if you do a rate problem you do 50 times what equals 100 so times two then you do 32 times two
