    Length: 2w - 3

    width: w

    Area (A) = L x w

    209 = (2w - 3) w

    209 = 2w² - 3w

    0 = 2w² - 3w - 209

    0 = (2w + 19) (w - 11)

    0 = 2w + 19 0 = w - 11

    w = - 19/2 w = 11

    Since width cannot be negative, disregard - 19/2

    w = 11

    Length: 2w - 3 = 2 (11) - 3 = 22 - 3 = 19

    Answer: width = 11 meters, length = 19 meters
