Well negative exponents you use as normal like a negative and do normal mathfor example:
x to the power of - 5 + x to the power of - 3
you know you its like - 5+-3 but in exponent form so you do normal math
-5+-3=-8
but with zero exponents any variable or number with a zero exponent equals 1 for example:
6 to the power of 0 = 1
