A gardener is planting two types of trees:

Type A is 9 feet tall and grows at a rate of 2 inches per year.

Type B is 7 feet tall and grows at a rate of 6 inches per year.

Algebraically determine exactly how many years it will take for these trees to be the same height.

    2x+9=6x+7. 2x+2=6x. 2=4x. X=1/2 a year
