    Rachel drove 503 miles on Saturday and 438 miles on Sunday

    Solution:

    Rachel drove 65 miles less on sunday than she did on saturday

    Let x be the number of miles Rachel drove on Saturday

    Let, x - 65 be the number of miles she drove on Sunday

    Twice the miles driven on sunday is 373 more than the number of miles driven on saturday

    Twice the miles driven on sunday = 373 + number of miles driven on saturday

    2 (x - 65) = 373 + x

    Solve the above expression for "x"

    2x - 130 = 373 + x

    2x - x = 373 + 130

    x = 503

    Thus, x - 65 = 503 - 65 = 438

    Thus, Rachel drove 503 miles on Saturday and 438 miles on Sunday
