Bob bought 4 CDs that were each the same price. Including sales tax, he paid a total of$45.60. Of that total,$4.40 was tax. What was the price of each CD before tax?

    Explanation: First you need to subtract $45.60-$4.40 to get rid of the tax. Then your total without tax is $41.20. Once you have the total without tax you just divide that total by 4 and get $10.30.
