    152 cubic inches

    Step-by-step explanation:

We simply have to calculate the volume of each cube them combine them to get the final result.

    So, Todd's cube has an edge of 5 inches, so it's volume is 5³ or 5 * 5 * 5 = 125

    Todd's cube's volume is 125 cubic inches.

We repeat the process with Kara's cube, which has 3 inches of edges.

    Kara's cube's volume is then 3³ or 3 * 3 * 3 = 27 cubic inches.

    Kara's cube's volume is 27 cubic inches.

    Total volume: 125 + 27 = 152 cubic inches.
