The sum of 4 times one number and 3 times a second number is 64. If the sum of the two numbers is 19, find the two numbers.

    A) 4*x + 3*y = 64

    B) x + y = 19

    B) x = 19 - y Substituting B into A

    A) 4 * (19 - y) + 3*y = 64

    76 - 4y + 3y = 64

    -y = - 12

    y = 12

    x = 7
