    We have that

    a=12 cm

    b=?

    c=15 cm

    Applying the Pythagoras Theorem

    c²=a²+b²

    15²=12²+b²

    b²=15²-12²

    b²=225-144

    b²=81

    b=√81

    b=9 cm

    the answer is

    b=9 cm
