    A+ny = n

    a = n-ny

    a = (1-y) n

    a / (1-y) = n

    n = a / (1-y)

    A + ny = n Subtract ny from both sides a = n - ny Factor out the n a = n (1 - y) Divide both sides by (1 - y) a / (1 - y) = n
