    If f (-x) = f (x) then the function is even.

    If f (-x) = - f (x) then the function is odd.

    We have f (x) = - 8x³ + 6x.

    f (-x) = - 8 (-x) ³ + 6 (-x) = - 8 (-x³) - 6 = 8x³ - 6

    -f (x) = - (-8x³ + 6x) = 8x³ - 6x

    f (-x) = - f (x)

    Answer: The function is odd.
