    Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height 17.5 = 1/2 x 7 x height 17.5 = 3.5 x

I think that you that you take 17.5 and divide by 7. Then, take that answer and half it. This fulfills the area formula for a triangle, 1/2 base times height
