There are 100 sophomores at the school. 85% of them are good students. What would be the percent of good students at school if (rounding the answer to the nearest whole number) : b ten "A" students were to join this school

    So, you start out with 100 students. 85% are good students, so 85 good students. If 10 more good students were to join the school, then your total of 100 would increase by 10. 100+10=110. Your number of good students would also increase by 10. 85+10=95. To find the new percent, do division. 95/110 rounds to 86%.
