    X-chickens

    y-ducks

    Last month: 50x+30y=$550

    This month: 44x+36y=$532

    50x+30y=550; /10⇒5x+3y=55⇒5x=55-3y⇒x=11-3/5y

    44x+36y=532;

    x=11-3/5y

    44 * (11-3/5y) + 36y=532⇒484+9.6y=532⇒9.6y=48

    x=11-3/5y

    9.6y=48⇒y=48/9.6⇒y=5

    x=11 - (3/5) * 5⇒x=8

    Cost of chicken is 8$ and cost of duck is 5$.
