Cindy made a triangular shaped sculpture with an area of 63 square inches. The height of the sculpture is 9 inches. What is the base length of the sculpture?

    Area=base times height times 1/2

    63=area

    9=height

    63=bsae times 9 times 1/2

    multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of 1/2

    126=base times 9

    divide both sides by 9

    14=base

    base legnth=14 inches
