Factorise: 2x² - 7x - 4

    The terms in x must be 2x and x. The factors of - 4 are either - 4 and 1, - 1 and 4, - 2 and 2 or 2 and - 2. Trying each of the combinations we get (2x + 1) (x - 4) as the solution.

    2x-7x-4x=0.875 the answer is 0.875 cause of the fact that seven and two are the ones with the varible
