The axis of symmetry is 2

    2x^2-8x+8

    2 (x^2-4x) + 8

    2 (x-2) ^2-2 (4) + 8

    2 (x-2) ^2-8+8

    2 (x-2) ^2

^ on a graph would be at x=2
