    Average rate of change = [f (x2) - f (x1) ] / (x2-x1)

    (the same formula of the slope)

    x2=5

    x1=1

    f (x2) = 5^3-1 = 124

    f (x1) = 1^3-1 = 0

    (124-0) / (5-1) = 31
