If the radius of a circle is 6 inches, how long is the arc subtended by an angle measuring 70°?

    Set up a ratio of distance to angle:

    2pπ/L=360/α

    360L=2πrα

    L = (πrα) / 180, given that α=70° and r=6 we have:

    L = (420π) 180

    L = (21π) / 9 in
