Ron buys 5 pounds of apples for $3.25. Write a direct variation equation for the cost of y of x pounds of apples. Find the cost of 21 pounds of apples.

    0.65x=y

    where x = pounds in apples, y = final cost

    0.65 (21) = y

    13.65$=y
