    To find the greatest common factor of any set:

    1) List their prime factorizations.

    24 = 2³ * 3

    36 = 2² * 3²

    60 = 2² * 3 * 5

    2) Multiply together any factor these all share.

    2² * 3 = 12 (GCF)
