    y + 11 = - 2 (x + 1.5)

    y=mx+b

    multiply the bracket by - 2

    (-2) (x) = -2x

    (-2) (1.5) = -3

    y+11=-2x-3

    move + 11 to the other side

    sign changes from + 11 to - 11

    y+11-11=-2x-3-11

    y=-2x-14

    m is also the slope

    b = y-intercept

    Answer:

    y-intercept=-14
