    Looking at the number 2800, ask yourself, what 2 factors can ibreak this number into.

    One possibility is 28 and 100 - - since 28*100 = 2800

    so now you have 28 and 100, are any of these prime?

    the answer is no

    28 can be factored into 4 and 7 and 100 can be factored into 10 and 10

    so now you have

    4,7,10,10

    which ones of these are prime?

    well, 7 is a prime number but 4,10, and 10 are not. Since they are all even, then they can be divided by 2

    4 = 2*2

    10=2*5

    so factoring those numbers give you

    2,2,7,2,5,2,5

    putting themin order,

    2,2,2,2,5,5,7

    now, the question is, are these numbers all prime.

    if yes, then you're done with prime factorization, if not, then you just continue the process
