The sum of two numbers is 65. the sum of the first number increased by 10% and the second number increased by 20% is 74. what are the original numbers?

    X+y=65

    x*1.1 + y*1.2=74

    Easy thing is to isolate y say: y = 65-x, and substitute in the second equation:
