Red roses cost $3 each. Pink roses cost $2 each. A man buys 24 flowers for his wife with some pink roses and the rest red roses. The total cost of the flowers is $68. Write a system of equations to model this situation and use the equation to determine how many red and how many link roses he bought

    Let the no. of red rose be R,

    Let the no. of pink rose be P.

    $3*R+$2*P = $68

    R+P=24

    R=24-P

    3 (24-P) + 2P=68

    72-3P+2P=68

    P=4

    R=20
