4x - (12 : 3) + 2x = 20
4x - 4 + 2x = 20 Always begin with subtraction or multiplication first
4x + 2x - 4 = 20 Combine term
6x - 4 = 20 Add 4 for each side
6x = 24 Divide by 6 fro both side
x = 4
