A pitcher contains 3 1/2 pints of lemonade. Susan pours 5/8 of a pint into a glass, and Mateo pours 1/2 pint into a glass. How much lemonade is left in the pitcher?

    We have 3 1/2 pints of lemonade

    3 1/2 - 1/2 (Mateo) = 3

    3 - 5/8 = 2 8/8 - 5/8=2 3/8 lemonade left
