Step 1: find the sales tax:

To find 6.5% of $53.40, divide 6.5 by 100 to make it 0.065, then multiply it by $53.40 to get $3.47

    Step 2: find the tip

To find 20% of $53.40, first divide 20% by 100 to get 0.20, then multiply it by $53.40 to get $10.68

Step 3: add it all up

    $53.40 + $3.47 + $10.68 = $67.55
