    x+7> (-2) and y-5<9

    First isolate x and y

    x+7> (-2) → x > - 9

    y-5<9→ y < 14

    Transform the second inequality to make the (multiply by - 1):

    y - 14

    add both inequalities:

    x > - 9 and - y > - 14

    x-y > - 9 - 14

    x - y > - 23
