A radio station had 152 tickets to a concert. They gave away 3 times as many tickets to listeners as to employees. How many tickets did they give away to employees?

    152/4, since you have 4 parts to this equation, 3 parts of it goes to the listeners and 1 part to the employees. so your amount that you give to the employees are 38 tickets

    Employees=e, listeners=3e

    so, 3e+e=152

    4e=152

    e=152/4=38 tickets to employees, and 3 (38) = 114 tickets to listeners.
