Timothy needs 1/4 of bread crumbs for a casserole and 1/3 cups of bread corpus for the topping how many cups of bread cribs does he need

    To add these together we need to make sure the number on the bottom of the fraction is the same. The easiest way to do this is to multiply them together. 4 x 3 = 12.

    1/4. How do we make 4 into 12, we multiply by 3. So we multiply both the top and bottom numbers by 3. 1/4 = 3 / 12.

    1/3. To make 3 into 12 we have to multiply by 4. So 1 / 3 = 4 / 12.

    Now that we have a common denominator (the number on the bottom) we can add them together.

    3 / 12 + 4 / 12 = 7 / 12.
