Keyanna saved $75 this summer by babysitting. After school, she makes $10 a week babysitting.

a) Write an equation for the amount, A, of money that she will have after w weeks.

b) How much will she have after 5 weeks?

c) How many weeks until she has $255?

    Savings : $75

    Babysitting earnings : $10 a week.

    a) A = $75 + $10w

    b) A = $75 + $10 * 5 weeks

    A = $75 + $50

    A = $125

    c) A = $75 + $10w

    $255 = $75 + $10w

    $255 - $75 = $10w

    $180 = $10w

    $180/$10 = w

    18 = w

    Keyanna needs to babysit for 18 weeks.
