A cylinder and a cone each have a radius of 3 in and a hieght 8 inch what is the ratio of the volume of the cone to the volume of the cylinder

    The volume of a cylinder is [ π R² h ].

    The volume of a cone is [ 1/3 π R² h ].

    If a cylinder and a cone both have the same radius and the same height,

    then the volume of the cone is 1/3 the volume of the cylinder.
