The sides of a right triangle are x, x+7, and x+8 untits long. Find the side lengh by solving for x.

    X+x+7+x+8=180

    3x+15=180

    3x=165

    x=55

    X=55 because a triangles angles add up to 180. you need to get the variable (x) by it's self. By doing that you subtract 15from both sides getting 3x=165. If you divide 165 by 3 you get 55.
