The answer is about 2.65. If you come up with the square root of 7 it would be around that. But, if you use the fraction trick, you would have 2 as the whole number, then having 7 subtracted by 4 (because the square of two is 4) which is 3, then find the denominator which is 9 (because the square of 3 is 9), so the answer is 2 1/3. So, the approximate values are 2.65 and 2 1/3.
