If the probability of surviving in a head on car accident is 0.012 at 55 mph. Then what is the probability of not surviving?

    The probability is just a fraction of the success over the total number of experiments. The opposite would be the number of fails over the total number of experiments. When you add probabilit of the successes and the fails, they equal to 1.

    So, the probability of not surviving would be 1-0.012 = 0.988

    The answer is 0.988.
