The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 40 meters. The length of the garden is one meter less than twice its width. What are the dimensions of this garden?

    Length = 2x-1. 2 (7) - 1=13

    Width=X. = 7

    2x-1+2x-1+X+X=40

    6x-2=40

    Add 2

    6x=42

    Divide by 6

    X=7
