For a car moving at a constant speed, the distance traveled varies directly with the time spent driving. If such a car travels 180 miles in 9 hours, how long does it take to travel 140 miles?

    Well if we have 180 miles in 9 hours then by division we can work out that in 1 hour the car travels 20miles. so to get to 140 from 20 we times by 7 so we do the same to the hours which would be 7 hours
