You will need 10 CAT6 cables for wiring computers in a new office. A local computer store sells them for $4.00 each plus 6% sales tax. You can order them from an Internet shopping site that offers them for $3.50 each plus $5.95 shipping and no sales tax. The Internet store offers free shipping when you order a box of 12 for $40.00. Which of the following is the best deal?

    Store=10*4*1.06=$42.40

    Internet=10*3.5+5.95=$40.95

    And if you order an extra two to cancel out shipping ...

    Internet=$40.00

    So the box of twelve is the best deal as it costs less than the other two options and gives you two spare cables. : P
