A spinner is divided into eight equal section. one section is blue, and the other seven section are red. Austin spun first and got blue. because Austin spun blue, Kim is now certain she will not spin blue. Do you agree with Kim? Explain why or why not.

    No because austin's spins don't affect kim's spins (unless he breaks it and 'accidentally' paints it blue or red)

    certain means 100%

    it is very probable that she won't spinn blue, but that is a 7/8 chance, she still can spin blue (also, if by mere luck the spinner happens to stop in the middle of red and blue then it is amazing)

    No because the events are independent, and the results of the spinner before has no effect on it the future, so Kim still has the same 1/8 change as Austin had in getting blue.
