An area rug is 35/4 square meters with a length of 7/2 meters. What is the width, in meters, of the rug?

    Area=35/4 m²

    length=7/2m=14/4m

    The formula is: area=length*width

    So, 35/4=14/4m*width

    divide both sides by 14/4

    2 2/4m=width

    The width is 2 1/2 meters or 2.5meters
